Tonya's Tip ~ Beans

 

  When cooking beans regardless of what smoked meat you choose

         whether smoked bacon or smoked turkey etc....

    RESIST the temptation to add salt in the beginning.

 

         Most store bought smoked meats have quite

       a bit of salt already so you can always add a

    little the last half hour but probably won't need to.

 

 

       Remember you can always add but it's hard to take out. 

If you do find yourself in an over salted situation add a whole

                peeled potato and some water.
